Ricoh’s new FAX3320L and FAX4430NF offer fast & reliable document distribution for professional environments

Amstelveen, The Netherlands, October 2007 – Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B.V. today announced the launch of the FAX3320L and FAX4430NF: reliable, high speed and user friendly Super G3 fax devices with excellent security features. While the entry level FAX3320L is targeted at small to mid-sized workgroups, the FAX4430NF is aimed at larger workgroups in need of more advanced capabilities. These new models offer non stop accelerated performance and produce excellent quality text and complex graphics, as their predecessors who won the 2006 Editors’ Choice award.

Simona de Sanctis, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe (Netherlands) B.V. feels the new FAX3320L and FAX4430NF will further reinforce Ricoh’s strong position in the professional fax market. “The two most important reasons for sending faxes are that it is a time saving and convenient process. These two new faxes underline these reasons. With the ‘scan to e-mail’ and IP Fax functionalities, they will strengthen the position of the fax in today’s office environments even more.”

Incoming faxes arrive at a fast 15 pages per minute (ppm) and users can receive faxes while simultaneously faxing multiple recipients. Equipped with a speedy 33.6 Kbps modem, both devices also come with an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) to facilitate feeding of larger documents. Quick dial and speed dial facilities as well as function keys make operation straightforward and further speed up document handling. With 400 dpi resolution, received documents are perfectly recreated, with clear images and crisp text.

Security has been given high priority on the FAX3320L and FAX4430NF. User access can be restricted and faxes can be transmitted confidentially. Thanks to the memory lock functionality, incoming faxes can be automatically stored into memory and only released after authentication.

More demanding office environments benefit from the FAX4430NF, which can send faxes to PCs as e-mail messages with an attached image file, saving the user time and costs. The ‘colour scanning’ option is especially valuable when users need to e-mail colour documents. The built-in LAN fax software can also transmit faxes from any networked PC, without any additional PC fax application. The IP fax function allows operators to send and receive fax messages through systems connected to the same network. This virtually eliminates the costs of sending (long distance) faxes and reduces the chance of errors, making it ideal for sending legal documents.

Users will never miss out on a fax again thanks to the abundant paper capacity (maximum 850 sheets for the FAX3320L and maximum 1,350 sheets for the FAX4430NF). The FAX3320L guarantees that all incoming and outgoing information is safeguarded as up to 640 A4 pages can be stored into the system’s 8 MB memory. The FAX4430NF is equipped with 16 MB memory, equivalent to up to 1,280 A4 pages and a memory back up of 12 hours offers high safety and no loss of information even if paper stocks should run out.

The separate toner and developer keep supply costs to a minimum. The energy saver mode reduces energy consumption to less than 1.5 W for the FAX3320L and less than 6 W for the FAX4430NF, therefore avoiding unnecessary costs. Thanks to its duplex functionality, the FAX4430NF helps customers save paper costs and archiving space.

The FAX3320L and FAX4430NF are the latest additions to Ricoh’s strong fax line up. Ricoh currently manufactures one of the world’s most extensive line ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as providing advanced software solutions.
