Ricoh Europe B.V. and EFI have long partnered on Fiery® servers and controllers for Ricoh systems. Now the MicroPress® alliance significantly increases the level of cooperation between the two companies. Ricoh products with MicroPress® connectivity include black and white multifunctional products (MFPs) like the Aficio™2051, 2060, 2075, 2090 and 2105 and the new Aficio Color™5560 MFP. Additionally, models supported by MicroPress® will include Ricoh’s high-end production printers such as the DDP 70e, DDP 92 and the EMP 156 (from second quarter 2006).

MicroPress® software enables users to prepare already RIPped documents and offers the ability to make page level edits through its WYSIWIG document composition and editing features. This feature is critical in complex make-ready applications, such as document construction, including tabs, paper catalogue utilisation and imposition. In addition, professional colour and corporate colour management guarantee the most accurate and repeatable results.
Connectivity of MicroPress® and Ricoh products will be demonstrated at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry from the 4th till the 6th of April 2006. During these three days, Ricoh Europe B.V. will organise an open house event to present its renewed production portfolio. The theme of the event will be: Professionals in the Arena.
